Our History and Mission

Eucharia Help Foundation (The Foundation) is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-sectarian organization working in rural communities in Nigeria. Founded in 2004 and registered on June 10, 2008, with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/NO 28164), The Foundation is a member/partner of prominent organizations, including the Stop TB Partnership both in Nigeria and with World Health Organization (WHO), Society for AIDS in Africa (SAA), Global Network of Black People Working on AIDS, Society on Liver Disease in Africa (SOLDA), Nigeria Network of NGOs, Civil Society for HIV/AIDS in Nigeria, Human Rights Information Network-Nigeria, Nigeria Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Association of Civil Society Organizations on Malaria, Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN) Nigeria, Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA), Enugu State AIDS Control Agency, Human Rights Information Network-Nigeria, Human Rights and Justice Workgroup (HR&JWG), etc. With experience in scaling up projects, The Foundation has successfully implemented initiatives, including a past grant recipient of StopTB Partnership's Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS) of World Health Organization and Sub-sub recipient of Global Funds on Tuberculosis (TB). The Foundation started as a welfare organization providing relief for marginalized communities especially women, girls, and children infected and affected by both communicable and noncommunicable diseases. Our comprehensive support includes residential, nutritional, psychosocial, medical, and educational assistance, as well as economic empowerment for girls, women, and their children who suffer severe stigma and discrimination, cast out by their kiths and kins from the rural Communities. Founded by Eucharia Ijeoma, a social entrepreneur with a passion for social justice in Nigeria, our organization is driven by a commitment to creating positive change.
